• Receive design input from Engineering Personnel.
  • Research various design possibilities when appropriate.
  • Complete detailed drawings for the shop, field and sub-contractor fabrication.
  • Assure that work is accurate and complete.
  • Assure that customer and ASI CAD standards are followed.
  • Assure appropriate application of dimensioning and tolerance values are applied to convey fabrication intent.
  • Produce clear and precise drawings that are easy to read and efficiently utilize paper.
  • Travel to job sites as required to check field conditions and collect data. Travel may last for extended time periods.
  • Include fabrication notes to assist and clarify special procedures that may be needed.
  • Conform to ISO requirements.
  • Follow back-up procedures and utilize company resources appropriately
  • Demonstrate the ability to work professionally as a team player and willingness to assist others.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • May require working extended hours, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned or that become necessary to fulfill the company’s responsibilities and needs with respect to its business.

Qualification Requirements

  • A High School Diploma
  • Working knowledge of CAD software
  • Practical mechanical aptitude to understand the functionality of machinery and equipment
  • Must have technical comprehension skills to read and understand requirements from specifications, drawings, instructions, and other design input information.
  • Must be capable of working independently.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills working with Engineering, Shop and Field personnel.
  • Understanding of fabrication and dimensioning practices as they relate to the construction of equipment.
